Once I moved the classlib (Main) from an outside directory to the directory that contained the project, everything was resolved.

Sounds like the search path to the library wasn't being found. You can specify the precise path in NEWOBJECT and once it's built into an EXE, it'll be found by virtue of being "in" the EXE's path. Or if you distribute the VCX seperate then you'd want to specify that path, of course.
