Doh! now that I look at it, you're right :-)
I would (should) have checked but my home computer doesn't have VFP installed. Not an excuse, but a reason. :-) Thanks for the correction, I forgot to check up on it when I got to work.
The help file states: "The == operator can be used when an exact comparison of character strings is needed." I took the wording a certain way.. I guess when they say "can be used" it doesn't exclude comparing numbers as well..
