No. The problem with that is everyone is then running the same APP/EXE file and there is no way to update the APP/EXE without kicking everyone out of the APP so you can copy over a new version. By installing the APP/EXE to the workstation, all I have to do is put the new version on the server in a folder known to the launcher EXE. The next time the user launches the app, the automatically get the new version copied to their workstation and they are now running the correct version. This method is 100% hassle-free on my part.
