Hi!

I remember the problem with one VFP app running at Citrix (or Win2000 Terminal? do not remember exactly) that blows up often just because... temporary file name conflicts. Yes, APP running n such server runs for each user. Temporary file name is generated in VFP by using a timer, that means when cursor is created at the same time for 2 users, the same temporary file name will be generated! Now imagine if all temporary files are in the same folder? My guess is that Citrix server have a solution to this problem by the way you have mentioned as a problem.

>Anyone ever seen a VFP app running through a citrix session on terminal server and create cursor commands not obeying the getenv('temp') function? Reason i'm asking is this is exactly whats happening for one client. their current config.fpw shows tmpfiles =r:\temp and getenv('temp') returns same thing
>but if you create a cursor it will create in the current directory? If

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
