>>Be careful John, you might have all kinds of people bugging you for jobs down there. <<
There are 2 offices, one in the UK, one in Australasia, we're looking at a US office ? early next year. We have some staff who *love* commuting between UK and NZ, living the life in London/Oxford and in Auckland the City of Sails (and home of the America's Cup, and where Lord of the Rings is filmed, and home of Xena the Warrior Princess)...
But new staff? Local universities will *give* me Honours students for a year at a time if they can participate in a Java project. My competitors have 3 of them at a time. Sure with VFP we can be *much* more productive than an equivalent Java team, but they're hard to find and we don't have enough time to train from scratch. Products like WW certainly help but there is still a real learning curve.
Sad, but true. If only MS knew that they're not driving people into .NET but into Java. I'm sure they must know by now.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
