>>VFP is not a little program! Windows OSs are not little programs! The big surprise is that they have any stability at all!! By comparison, corporate IT projects are little programs - and they (too) are never bug free.

>I fail to see your point.
Nor do I - no context! Allow me! A position had been offered regarding a less than bug free VFP. The position was supported with comparisons to IT projects and that went through quality assurance. I contended that VFP and the OS may have a liitle more meat in the sauce than an IT project. I don't think they can be compared. One has a symbol set in the millions, the other, usually less than a thousand (a guess).
One position demands perfection. The other is amazed that anything works at all.
The guy I responded to has a broad understanding of systems integration. He knows what he is talking about. I was shooting nurf balls at him.

>With respect to some corporate IT projects, the issue may have nothing to do with little or big. Sometimes issues like the difference between exact and non-exact can mean life or death for human beings. It therefore becomes necessary to run additional tests on vendor software - particularily OSs.
I agree. The old "The one that finds the most bugs gets yogurt with their Ramen!"
