hello everyone,

I need to build a database server which:
(1) support Fox2x dbf format
(2) compatible with VFP6.0 on backend
(3) support Java or CGI program such that users can view reports wherever they can get on The Internet.
(4) can have direct access to database thr' The Internet (Java?)
(5) support good security

I dont even know if I have asked the question clearly, because I have NO experience on database server

At first I think MySQL maybe the way to go, but someone told me it doesn't support Fox2x dbf, is it true?

Any suggestions, idea, resouces or suggested reading is welcomed! Thanks in advance!
