I know you have been up to my area in Silicon Valley (we still have to get together to have a pint or two). Java in this area is hot and has been for about 1 1/2 years based upon job requirements. There is not much Microsoft development going on in comparison.

I still belong to the Java users group. I remember the night (a few years back) when the president of the group (a good friend of mine) came in very happy to announce: "Version 1.2 has just been released and here it is"! His next words: "However, there is NO browser that it will work with"! Such a feeling!

Yes, we have to look into Java much more closely - to better see the reality.
