I was creating an ADO recordset and appending fields to the recordset. Then
I was populating the fields depending on values in various other tables.

However, I have now resorted to creating a temporary table on disk and populating this table and then creating a recordset on this temp table and assigning this to the report.

This does work, but does seem to be a rather silly way to have to do it.
