I think that's a good idea, Bob.

There is already a list started for VFP 8 wishes and those that make the cut can be added to that. Even the VFP8 wishes could be "voted" on I suppose.

I wonder what the best way is to go about making this happen???

My first thought was to simply add a "votes counter" to each of the items in each of the lists (VFP7 / VFP8) but that has several drawbacks.
First, not everyone would even bother to go to either of those lists to do so. Secondly, there would be a greater likelihood of editing "collisions" that could result in loss/corruption of votes (or even the whole document). Thirdly, there would be no way to prevent multiple votes by any one person.

Any ideas out there? Could this maybe be a request for a fairly major UT enhancement - to have a wish list voting mechanism?

The request for a specific CATEGORY dedicated to WISH Discussions was rejected a couple of years ago, so I guess that wouldn't fly, but something specicially related to voting on each wish might have some chance.

I sure would like to see some significant improvements regarding wishes in the community at large and would hope that doing so just might get MS to be a little more forthcoming in discussing them.

Regards,

JimN
