>Can 2 developers share a copyright on the same code. I'm subcontracting through another developer & I would like to place a copyright header in each program designating both of us since we both created the system. Has anyone seen this before?
Yes, I understand copyright law includes specifications for two or more associates sharing in the copyright. You must agree amongst yourself how you will share in the profits.
If you are selling the product by yourself, it might be more convenient to put yourself as the copyright owner, and add a clause like "Portions Copyright (the other guy)", or "Web functions licensed from (the subcontractor)", etc. Or are you both sharing in the profits?
