Hi Della - I think you will be surprised at how similar the two are. There will be some syntactical differences - IF/ELSE comes to mind - but on the whole I was able to get up to speed pretty quickly.

The hardest part, for me, was adjusting to the difference in built-in functions. VFP is much richer in functions than SQL, particularly for string manipulation.

One thing that I really like in SQL2K is the improved view designer. I use that a lot to create SELECT statements and set up the joins between tables, rather than trying to deal with it from memory.
