John great to know that ur working with microsoft. John i tried executing sql satement using &

sqlstr = "select * from itemmast"

&sqlstr

and bingoo..it worked.

but i want to ask u somehting,,is it a genuine way of executing sql statement.

and please tell me which one is better solution.

Now that i know ur in micrsoft, i just can't hold myself asking u a simple question and that is regarding release of VFP 7.0. Also how one can become MVP.
