>From what I know, the majority of the VFP people wanted to include VFP in the .NET. After announcement from MS that VFO pulled out from .NET VFP sreamed a lot here in UT. Did you read these threads?

I remember those threads. The majority of people screaming had no idea what they were asking for. Most, when they realized just what being included in .NET meant, changed their minds. If you still think that being included in .NET would please most VFP developers, go hang out on a VB discussion board for a while, and see the wonders it did for the VB community.

>Personally, I attended the Miami DEVCON last year, but I was not able to find where this discussion was to even see it. Do you think the 'Majority' of people are just VFP gurus attended Miami DEVCON that talked with MS?

Could be. I also happen to know that the VFP team watched the threads here regarding the subject, and sometimes approached people they considered experts to solicit their opinion on the subject.

> This is not majority. Just people that attend DEVCONS, quite active in the writing articles and like to discuss something (usually MVPs), and attracted by MS. Well, you think they can talk with MS for all VFP community. But the Majority is not these people.

In MS' defense, they can't talk to _all_ the developers. There has to be some selection/ sampling mechanism, and choosing to speak with conference attendees and /or acknowledged experts sounds as valid as any.

>Let me know if I missed something. I understand that after such words I can never get MVP status,

I wouldn't bet on it. MVP award is not an MS ass-kissing award (except for a couple of cases), it's given based on your service to the community. IMO, you're a prime candidate.

> but its pity to see how MS rule us, VFP developers, instead of doing something really needed for real VFP majority.

I strongly disagree with you here. Just because something you wanted personally didn't make it into the next version is no indication that they weren't listening, or chose to ignore the 'majority'.
