It sounds like the problem you are having has to do with a little quirk in FoxPro tables. The value of a numeric field is blank (instead of 0) until you actually change the value of the field to another value or 0. I bet if you go into your table and put zeroes where there are blanks in the numeric field, your textbox will work as you want.
