As the other replies reminded you, the capability to COMPILE was added in SP3.
You can now copy a memo field to a PRG, or create a PRG on-the-fly (perhaps variable, depending on some condition), and DO it.
If users have a version of the DLLs previous to SP3 (Service Pack 3), I am sure they will get "feature not available" if you try this.
