Hi!

Just try, or find good manual. The keys chart in the INKEY() function help might help you too. Try - put the messagebox in the KeyPress of treeview and display codes. Than press function keys you require. Note that some key codes ranges will interfer, so use also API functions o get states of keys like SHIFT, CTRL and ALT. I do not know details, but just know the approach.

HTH.

>Thanks for your suggestions. I'm most attrackted to use the treeview's KeyPress-event. I found out that the KeyPress-event is used for selecting a node from which the text matches the keys pressed. All I have to do now is to capture the functionkeys. Here comes something tricky, The KeyPress-event from the treeview uses ascii-codes but what are the ascii-codes from the functionkeys?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
