Hello,

I use grids that sometimes have a column using a memo field as the underlying controlsource (using a textbox as the control). In the Grid is the word "Memo" as expected. In some grids that I have built, if I dbl-click on it the memo pops up into a normal vfp editing window (with readonly or not depending on status)

However other grids do not work that way. I can dbl-click all day long and no memo window opens up. I usually in that case have to add code to the dbl-click method of the column.text to get it to open (modify memo...)

I can't seem to figure out why this behaviour happens, I have noticed it for a few years now and have never really figured it out. Can someone give me a rational explanantion or what to look at in my setup.
