Do either of the tables use Memo fields? You can open a table that has a corrupted FPT file.

The C5 error will occur when you try to access/pull data from the memo fields, you will get the official error normally on a PACK MEMO or PACK.

Try doing a SELECT * FROM Table on your tables, this will soon produce the C5 if it is corrupt memo fields.
