Oscar,
Have no idea nor saw a documentation about its limits. Real limit IMHO it populates very slowly. Check UT magazine June issue for sample code to overcome this and expand a populate only on demand.
In doc there is error in one line saying SelectedImage is in fact Expanded image but I didn't update it thinking not a big deal :)
