Sorry, I can't understand (may be I should upgrade my brains?).
If strong typing will be applicable only to variables, explicitly declared as of some type (like: Private myStr as String), how it can affect existing applications?
>>Great! "Strong typing" is the keyword of the problem. But it solved in Visual Basic. In VB variable must be declared with "As type" clause to use strong typing. Otherwise (variable not declared or declared without of "As type") it assumes to be a variant type. And I have heard something about strong typing in dBase 7. If it possible to Borland, it may be possible to MS (excluding case of .NET, of course :)) ).
