Yes, Mike there was confusion as I did think that the Oledb provider was for SQL Server. So in connecting to SQL Server, if I want to use the oledb driver, can I still use sql-passthrough or is ADO the only way to connect with it.
I'm concerned that using ADO my development on the current project will be slowed in converting recordsets to cursors or binding recordsets, etc.
Any suggestions here?

>If you're referring to the VFP provider, I believe there is some confusion here. The VFP provider gives you connectivity only to VFP data, and has nothing to do with getting to SQL Server data. Think of OLE DB providers as "updated" ODBC drivers, only they use OLE DB/ADO instead of ODBC data access technology.
