I used several sources - Foxpro Adviser had several article I used. August 2000,June 2001, and August 2001 articles. The most helpful was doing a search on the UT for outlook threads. I printed them and then studied the example or responses to questions. I also download some of the examples in the file section of UT on the classes involving outlook and mapi and review the code and see how they are constructed. The August 2001 in Foxpro Adviser is very informative and will give you a lot of background. I don't mean to should like a shill for Foxpro Adviser but the article on this have been excellent.


I understand Tamara Granor(editor for Foxpro Advisor) co-authored a book on "Automation" which gives a lot of the basics. I have not purchased that book, as I was able to obtain the necessary information through other methods. If I do much more automation I probably will have to pony up the money and purchase it.
