Not being a fan of the menu builder myself, I have avoided using these type of things in most applications. However....

I found myself looking at a realy well designed web site.

and got to thinking about the simple javascript type menus they had on top.

Nice and flat, good Colors. things I would love to be able to get working inside my application.

So back the books and starting playing with the define pad, and define menus commands. There appears alot more going here than what is exposed to the menu wizard. but what I was most empressed with was the look and feel of the those old popups. They could be made to look flat. But the syntax for coloring is really old. set colorscheme etc.

has anyone out there done some work with the those older commands, to see if they really could still be used. with VFP.. (I know it can) but is if just there to enabled the VFP menus, or are they really functional. ?

I have seen this old utility Genmenux... but dont have a clue, yet if its worth reading up on.

Any help would be great. ... If you at all understand what I am attempting to get at.
