Thanks Nadya. I thought that marking the iId field in the view was the solution, but when I was doing my investigation last night (probably too late) I picked the wrong view to change and consequently my change had no effect.

With your reply I went back and changed the appropriate views so that my iId fields are updatble and that definitely fixed my problem.

The view designer defaults primary keys to not be updatable. This is a "lessons learned" to keep in mind.
