Hi Glenn,
Just to clarify...
Are you talking about SCX-based forms? On those, you should be able to change the Name property.
With VCX-based forms, the name cannot be changed in the Class Designer. However, you can change that with the RENAME CLASS command.
HTH,
>Recently my PC died and the 'Help' desk people reinstalled all my software. A few days later I realized that my ability to subclass forms was severely impaired due to the fact that now I cannot change the name property when creating new forms. Good if you have only one form in you application...bad if you need more than one. On inspection the name property is still listed as Public and in my base.vcx the class frm (on which all my forms are based) also has the name property disabled but it is still listed as public. I am reasonably sure this is not an issue of access rights. I am concerned this may be a liscensing issue, or it could be as simple as a checkbox somewhere that I have missed. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
