I agree with David. I just came back from upgrading a customer's system. Out of all his workstations, 2 were extremely slow. We removed those 2 computers and put 2 new ones in their place. The performance was improved enormously. We therefore eliminated network or APP problems.

Those 2 "bad" workstations had their HDs reformatted and a fresh install of Windows and the app. They are now performing as well as the others.

If your app uses a Launcher program to update the APP file that actually runs, you might have them just copy the new version of the APP to the working folder and see if that helps.

You could also check to see if their Anti-Virus software is configured to scan files when they are opened or run versus scanned only when they are modified. If possible, set it to the Modified option.

>I have a VFP 6.0 system which until yesterday was working without any problem. The problem started when the version of the application was updated. This updating process basically installs new executables and changes some tables' structures. ANY operation on my application is taking minutes to complete. Before the updating it was fast, without major performance issues.
>Obs.: This problem is occuring on a 20 machines environment and there are other companies using the exact same version without problems. I have already tested the performance of the server (via Performance Monitor) and does not exist excessive CPU/Memory use (CPU average use - 1%). This server only hosts the DBF files. All machines accessing the application have their own executables locally.
>I really have any clue about this problem. Can you give me any hint?
>Thanks!
