I saw one of your other responses.

"Converting" an application while it itself may still be subject to revision is a strong strong potential for real problems in delivery of the converted version. Something could come along when you're well into coding/unit test that turns much of the design inside/out.

At the very least I would push real hard for limiting revisions to the current application to known and agreed BUGS ONLY.
