Hello Al,

I'd take a copy of what ever the company has that states the pc and ALL data therein is their property, to my lawyer. Take his advice. He may suggest that the company give you permission and assume resposibility. Almost assurdly it's OK for you to give the company access to THEIR data. I would NOT walk away from this. Good Luck.
