This message has been marked as the solution to the initial question of the thread.
>Double-clicking a memo, by default, opens the text in a fox edit window. I have trapped the d-click to launch a friendlier memo editing form - I assume this is the right sort of approach? However, on closing my edit form the Fox default kicks in and displays the memo text again. Does anyone (probably everyone except me) know how to suppress the Fox edit window. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a NODEFAULT after intercepting the double-click ?
