I am trying to automate the process for data transferring. Could anyone help me on how to programmatically make a copy of the data structure of an Access database in VFP ?? To give you a little background information about this story: We are using a application that was developed by a vendor with access database and VB for the front end. Our parent company modified the codes so it will allow us to upload our database to our parent company electronically. However, because we only use this application to calculate premiums, users only enters very limit information to this application. Most of the information are stored in an application which uses Progress database. In order to upload complete set of data to the our parent company, I wrote a small program in VFP to down load data from the Progress database and import into the access database. Everything works fine with uploading the Access database with the data from Progress database. After importing the data from the Progress database I need to transfer data from our site to our parent company. To use the tool they developed for transferring data I have to select one record at a time to move records from one list to another. It is not very user friendly for us: I (whoever does the data transfer) have to have the list of the records were imported from the Progress database and select each record from the Access database and add them into the transfter.mdb. If I can automate the last part, I can schedule it to run anytime with a scheduler. Sorry for being so wordy. Thank you.
