i think sys(0) returns the windows user and not the novell user.
if the windows user is what you want, can you just parse it out of the string sys(0) returns.
there is also an api call ( i think it's GetUserName ) that will return just the windows user.

if you want the novell user, i know there is something in the files section ( or maybe kb ) here on ut.
i know i saw it but have yet to have a need or time to give it a try.
