Alfred,
I would look at USING a truetype font, that is resident to those printers. From I remember, Windows will print to Dot Matrix printers very slow because it is sending the data as graphics.

is it possible for you to get ahold of the DOS versions of your report forms?? If you have not modifed the routines that build the data for your reports, load them into your project (do NOT convert them to VFP style report forms, do NOT open them in VFP, else VFP will want to convert them over.

Finally, is there a way for your users to get something better than dot matrix printers?? Ink Hets are coming down in price, personal laser printers are coming down too..
