I "assumed" one would apply common sense to the situation. I had no idea whether he was dealing with a single Form or App, and at the risk of missing an event, I suggested "at the beginning" (then to take it from there).

You suggested the Docs; I find they are generally unreliable, particularly on a case by case basis.
