The Korean "conflict was "over" in 1953 and we were in Vien Nam in 1954. Just a matter of "eras" - when does one stop and the other begin. You could argue the Korean Conflict has not been resolved therefore it is not over. Glad to hear that Japan and Russia officially ended a war fought in 1906, not long ago.
