IBM Client Access has an ODBC driver in it that I am using in a client project to integrate information from an AS/400 DB2 database with my VFP app. There were some security issues that the IS people had on the 400 side, but their IBM rep helped them work around it. It had something to do with the way OS/400 assigns permissions, they ended up creating the equivalent of views, from how they explained it to me, to ensure no one would use my ODBC connection to modify tables.
