Hi James,
You can download mailmerge class from download section. It's outdated (was with word.basic and MDAC update < ? > spoiled it) but still has the basics.
After strugling with MDAC I resorted myself not to use ODBC at all. For a sample merge w/o ODBC see Thread #457267 Message #457273
It also workarounds memo fields problem with merging. Code was written to support VFP3-5 too. Anyway still not slower than using ODBC way.
