That's why I say a form/window in between. Alone it would show as normal for whatever the toplevel form is (ie: _screen when run from command window). A code like this could send it back :

do form anothertoplevel
do form myModal && Now is at back for it launches in another window

With or w/o AlwaysOnTop=.t. modal form shows in top level, either from command window or exe (modal called from toplevel). Honestly I don't know how to reproduce the problem you described w/o an intermediate form/window.
