>If I switch the stretch property of an image from the default 0 to 1 or 2 at runtime, nothing happens to the image. I've tried re-setting the image visible and picture properties and refreshing the form. If the form atarts life with stretch set to 1, a runtime switch to 0 does work. Any clues?

Sorry, I hadn't read your message carefully enough.

My guess is that the situation is similar to placing scrollbars on a form: Visual FoxPro needs to allocate additional resources for this capability. In the case of scrollbars, this is documented (you need to start with scrollbars if you want this capability - later you can turn them off on demand).

Hilmar.
