>Has anyone experienced file corruption with VFP6 and Windows 2000 professional? I have a problem where a .scx file will be corrupted and when you type MODI FORM [form].scx the command completes but nothing appears. Issuing MODI FORM ? and selecting the form has the same effect. This only happens on one form.

>Visual Studio 6 - SP5
>Novell Client 32 4.8 (although the file was on local machine)
>Office 2000 installed
>VFP 5 installed
>MS SQL Server 7.0 installed (SP2)

I had that happen on just one form. Strange as it may seem, a user of the exe had that form open editing data at the time her workstation crashed. I had the form open at the same time in dev mode. When I tried to save some changes in a method I got the response "file not open". I closed the project and reloaded it. When I opened the form again all the methods were empty and some controls were missing. I resorted to the prior night's backup to restore the form.

I was using Windows 2000 Professional (SP1). My project did not use a DBC.
We run a Novell network. The form was on a network drive.
Some indexes had to be rebuilt too.
