Hi,
This doesn't have anything to do with VFP - but I thought I'd post the question here anyway - in case this has happened to any of you.
I just started my 'vacation' a few days ago - hoping to spend a fair bit of time on a pet project I have started - with VFP 7 - on my home P.C. - running Windows 2000 and Windows ME (dual booting).
Anyway, got home Friday (the P.C. is left on all the time) and had a black screen with the text "Disk boot failure - insert system disk and press enter".
Luckily I brought the laptop home from work and have spent a fair bit of time reading about this error message - but I can't seem to figure out if this is a hardware issue - or some type of virus that has been the root of the problem. When I boot from the system disk - the computer still does not see the two hard drives in the box.
I'll likely have to take the *&%^%@#@* P.C. in to be looked at - but short of that I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of things that I could try first to see what has caused this to happen ...
