Unfortunately, the thumbnail control is not able to save to a file. The Image Edit control (from the same source) resizes images and has a method to save them at the specified zoom scale but, hélas!, can not produce JPEG files (just TIFF or BMP). I believe EastmanSoftware distributes a professional version of the control that can handle this task but the redistribution scheme requires that the end-user purchases one license (ES regards my application as a add-on to the Imaging Control - and that's not the way I see things).
