From my reading of Robert's paper (and it's been awhile, so my recollection may be fuzzy), I would say that he doesn't necessarily advocate SPT over remote views in all situations. The nature of the underlying problem, should be the final determining criteria. In some instances, a view may be preferable. I would say, however, that SPT is the most flexibile.
