PMFJI, but the solution Cetin provided requires that the application have an one or more associated file extensions. The same can be done via the FindExecutable() function in Shell32.dll by passing the name of an existing file.
Installed applications will no associated file extensions may or may not be entered in the registry. Further, the presence of a application on the disk is no guarantee that it has been installed.
