The obvious question is has anyone attempted to contact the person who left the company?
Information would be needed to address this issue, such as but not limited to:
1. Is this a custom application or a third party product?
2. There may be a table containing passwords and logon id's - which may or may not be encrypted.
With additional information we may be able to assist you to some extend. I feel that you should get a knowledgable person to assist you on site. If your companies accounting information is of any value such action will be taken.
Trying to deal with the unknown is not an easy task.
Tom
