What everyone is saying is good stuff except at runtime where many variables exist which may create danglers when forms & objects are released and the Debuger and DF's ObjRef won't be of much help.

To do it right, you need an implimentation at the base class level for ALL your base classes. Most of the good frameworks should have this feature.
