Just wanted to mention that I just visited my step-son, in Hawaii. His lung collapsed in early May, and he thinks that it had happened before, and inflated itself. This episode was very bad, and the Dr. had to reinflate it. He was told that there was about a 90% chance that it would happen again. He elected to have the surgery to prevent a reoccurance and has recovered pretty well (still has some pain, though). Just thought I'd mention it...in case the Dr. didn't talk about your options and possible/probably future problems.
