Homes - rarely. A windows mount type is standard fare if you can take the 12.88 cents/kwhr electric rate. Me, I run lots of fans. Cars - yes. With the advent of global warming/El whatever/etc., one would be a fool to buy a new vehicle without. Even up here. Right now it is 87 in the shade, under a deck on the north side which never sees the sun. BGM airport weather is saying 94 now. With our humidity, I'm staying right here under the fan.
