Igor makes an extremely good point that I had forgotten to mention (although I use it AL the time). To avoid the hell of null values when dealing with your recordsets, always concatenate the return with a zero-length string "" so that you no longer deal with nulls.
I forgot to mention that the reason I use the UCase and trim in my example is that our courier serv ice charges extra if we mix upper and lwoercase charcaters on the mailing label so we pump everything up to UCase to save money. :)
