Er, well, can you tell me a bit more about what looks wrong? No problem if you're tired of this thread, but I'm really curious why EVAL() fails in DynamicBackColor assignment. Especially with there error it does of invalid property type. DynamicBackColor gets evaluated for each row, right? So, the "this.controlsource" would seem to be in scope.

What do you think of this: maybe the eval get's evaluated once when the control is initialized and then on subsequent evaluations (of dynamicbackcolor) the eval has been replaced by...hm. Well, then I'd expect the color to just get set to all whatever the first one was.

Guess it's one of life's little mysteries.
